Creating a Person

Creating a person. It's kinda like your love letter to the world. People who are anti creating children often remark on how horrible the world is. They aren't wrong. The world is crazy! The gods must be crazy! But you need some optimism to throw a piece of you into the ringer of life. Maybe this goes without saying, but whatever you feel about this world is the stuff you imprint onto your kid. I want my kid to see the world as an adventure. That whatever is thrown at them they can handle. If I do my job right this baby won't need me. Whatever I cultivate in her, I'm sending out into the world. She doesn't have to be a reflection of me. I just want her to flourish.
